Q: WHEN DO ENTRIES OPEN FOR YOUR 2024 SEASON?
A: Early Bird Groups will open SOON (GROUPS ONLY). All other cities have specific opening dates, which can be found under ‘Regionals’ on the website.
Q: HOW MUCH ARE YOUR ENTRY FEES FOR REGIONALS?
A: Solos - $50 each routine | Duos/Trios - $60 each routine | Groups - $70 each routine | Competitor Pass - $40 each performer (compulsory per event)
Q: HOW MUCH ARE YOUR ENTRY FEES FOR NATIONALS?
A: Solos - $95 each routine | Duos/Trios - $110 each routine | Groups - $100 each routine | Evo Elite - $135 | Competitor Pass - $65 each performer (compulsory per event)
Q: Do I need a competitor pass?
A: Each performer MUST purchase 1 x Competitor Pass for each event entered. A Competitor Pass covers all solos, duos/trios, and groups for the performer at the event. It covers free door entry for spectators, an emailed program, a dedicated Backstage Manager, a dedicated Sound Technician, a dedicated Front of House team, and a dedicated Office Events Co-Coordinator.
Q: HOW MANY SOLOS CAN I ENTER AT A REGIONAL?
A: We have a five (5) max SOLO limit per performer per Regional Event
Q: HOW MANY SOLOS CAN I ENTER AT NATIONALS?
A: You can enter all of the routines you qualified with at Regionals PLUS 3 extra routines that did not perform. Eg, if you performed and qualified 3 routines at Regionals, you can bring a total of 6 to finals. Our Evo Elite section is not included in this total as it is an additional entry.
Q: DO YOU HAVE RESTRICTED/NOVICE SECTIONS?
A: Yes we do! We have introduced Novice sections for our 2023 Regional Events. Please refer to the Syllabus for all information relating to Novice Solos and Conditions of Entry.
Q: What day will my child be performing?
A: We will not know which age groups will be performing on each day until the event is at least 70% capacity or sold out. This is when we will release an Age Schedule.
Q: What is an Age Schedule and when will it be released?
A: An age schedule is a breakdown of what age groups will be on each day at the Regional Event. Once the event is at least 70% capacity (or sold out) we can release an age schedule for the event.
Q: What does Waitlist mean?
A: Our event has sold out but please fill out the form on our website to be added to our waitlist and if any spots become available, we will contact you.
Q: When will the draft programme be sent?
A: We aim to have the draft programme sent 3weeks prior to the event with the final programme sent 1 week prior to the event.
Q: I did not receive the programme.
A: Our program is now fully digital, and can be accessed via the Event App. Please note the Event App is separate from the Registration App. If in doubt, please contact us contact@evolutiondancecomp.com
Q: Where can I upload music?
A: Music can be uploaded through the Performers Profile in the Event App. You can upload music at any time and make changes by simply re-uploading the file as it automatically overwrites the original file. You can also play the song back to ensure it is the correct version. We recommend always bringing a backup with you on the day.
Q: My child can no longer perform. Am I able to request a refund?
A: Whilst we do not offer refunds for change of mind, we can arrange a refund if your child is injured however, there are a few terms and conditions which can be found in our Syllabus.
Q: What is EVO Elite?
A: EVO Elites are announced at the end of each age group and consists of the TOP 10 Highest Scoring Acts for each age group for each event. These performers can then enter the EVO Elite Category at our National Finals. All performers who are eligible to enter this section will receive a T-Shirt and have the opportunity to perform in our Opening or Closing number at our Grand Final Show. In the Evo Elites section, dancers can perform any dance they wish and they can repeat that same routine in the open section. Top 3 finalist will go through to our Grand Final Show to compete for our top prizes.
Q: DO YOU HAVE A MEDIA COMPANY TAKING PHOTO AND VIDEOS?
A: Yes we do. Our media partner is Dancevision.tv and they attend every Evolution event. They automatically photograph and video every performer on stage, so you can order at the event or afterwards online.
Q: WHERE and when ARE YOUR NATIONAL FINALS HELD?
A: Our National Finals are help at the beautiful RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast in early January each year.
Q: DO YOU HAVE ACCOMODATION ONSITE FOR NATIONAL FINALS?
A: Yes we do! As soon as the venue has been has been reconfirmed (should be early February 2023), we will release a booking link for those who wish to stay onsite for the duration of National Finals. Evolution has no control with regard to anything accommodation wise and we suggest you contact RACV Royal Pines Resort direct if you have any further questions or concerns.
